TEXAS HILL COUNTRY
New Braunfels is a tourist town. Two of the most picturesque rivers run through this community, the Guadalupe River and the Comal River. There is extensive rafting, tubing, fishing, and swimming available in the area. Schlitterbahn, the nation’s largest water park, offers an entire day of entertainment for “kids” of all ages. It is located in the middle of New Braunfels. Gruene,Texas is located one mile from New Braunfels.
This quaint area has a variety of restaurants and over 20 shops for your browsing pleasure. Gruene Hall offers good music most evenings and a fun, country dance atmosphere.
Natural Bridge Caverns is 10 miles from New Braunfels. This is a living cavern and a fabulous visual delight. Of course, San Antonio is just down I-35 and offers the River Walk and the Alamo. Also, in San Antonio, you will find Sea World of Texas and Fiesta Texas – Six Flags.
